Hello,

Well at 32 weeks, I delivered my twins. I, like you, had sharp pains and I felt I needed to use the bathroom all the time.

For the previous two weeks, I felt these pains but had no idea it was contractions I was feeling. I would have known had my OB allowed me to take lamaze classes.

But, my twins are here now and very healthy at 13 months.

So, you better call your OB, she may want to see you because you may be going into early delivery.

Hope this helps you................ : - O

I would talk to your doctor about this and have them check it out just in case. At 32 weeks you shouldn't really be noticiing the round ligament "stretching Pains" like you would in early pregnancy, especially if this isn't your first pregnancy. Sharp pains could be indicative of any number of things and only your doctor's office is qualified to let you know for sure what that could be.

Abdominal pains can mean different things than contractions when you are pregnant, especially if they are accompanied by increased blood pressure, headaches, blurry vision, swelling in your hands, face, or feet and heartburn.

A quick checkup in the office could see if your blood pressure was ok, could check your urine to make sure you aren't starting a urinary tract infection, and could help you be absolutely sure that you aren't feeling contractions.

Best of luck to you! Dee...Labor and Delivery Nurse

It could be that your body is having "practice" cramps , these are called Braxton Hicks cramps and are not anything serious .However you should go to Doctor and have a check up anyway. At 32 weeks your baby would be fine if its born now , So dont worry. Just go to your doctor to be sure. Go Now.

I had sharp pains in my left side, and mostly in the left side of my lower back for two days. I Finally went to the hospital and they sent me home. Two hours later, I was back in the hospital and had my son. I was also 32 weeks along so in my opinion, I'd get to the hospital just to make sure. They may send you home, but have your bag ready to go back!

My OB packet says to give the OB a call or head to labor & delivery with any pains in your left side...it doesnt say why. I would give your OB a call or have them paged. Best of luck

the pain you are feeling is normal its just the baby getting in position and if u get it allot when the baby moves just change your position that may help or do a little walking and as for the braxton hicks they are more of a pressure feeling real contractions you will feel in your lower abdomenn and lower back and they get stronger and closer the more you have them

u need to check with your dr............... but they are ligaments or something in there that the baby can pull or put pressure on that causes pain....... it happened to me in my last pregnancy it follows the trail of where high cut panties would run.
