I have an AM/FM radio in my kitchen, always got fine AM reception on the station I listen to. All of a sudden, it doesn't come in clearly. Have to bring my boom box into the kitchen. Would buying an expensive radio help? Is there any way to improve this since I'm told antennas do not help with AM?

Antennas *do* help with AM. However, orientation of antenna (angle) is more important than position.

Radio Shack would be able to help you get an AM antenna (it'd probalby also do FM and TV)
