I read somewhere that a boy was killed by men of the law because he was gay. I thought that was pretty harsh. I don't know what country it was in though. I wish the whole world would just accept homosexuality, but I don't know if that will happen.

Any Muslim country, since there really is no church and state separation in many of them. If they catch you, the penalty of death will be enforced.

It is least tolerated in countries which have Shari'a law based on the Quran and Haditha (sayings of Mohammed).

In Shari'a, the pentalty for homosexuality is being dropped on your head from the tallest tower in the city until you are dead.

Countries that enforce this include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Pakistan (not universally enforced), a couple of the smaller emirates of the United Arab Emirates (again, not universally enforced), Iran, Afghanistan (not universally enforced), Sudan, sometimes in Algeria and Libya. It can be enforced in Turkemenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and a few other countries.

It's in africa actually. Like in the countries of Uganda, the Republic of Congo, Nigeria and other surrounding countries. It is mandated by their law and culture that Homosexuals and engaging in homosexuals are punishable life imprisonment or by death. Thats why most gay men there are hiding deep in the closet.

Check out the link below.

As for middle eastern countries, homosexuality is tolerated. But when you get caught in the act you might be jailed for life or if your a foreigner you will be deported and blacklisted from that country.

It's sad actually when you read things like this about people of your same orientation. It makes me feel lucky to be living in a society that accepts people like me.

I hope that the countries involved in this cruelty against homosexuals will wake up one day and realize there's a bigger problem (like economic stability, jobs for people, lessen crime rates..etc) than jailing people who are different.

Two teenagers were killed for engaging in sex in Iran in May. Many of the more strictly religious Muslim countries are very anti-gay. Nigeria is poised to pass a law that will make it illegal for gay people to be seen together, including eating in restaurants. In general, equatorial Africa has some very anti-gay governments, as well.

America is the least tolerant of gays than any other of the developped countries and of all of our allies. Even South Africa recognizes same sex marriages. When will America join the truly progressive nations and offer equal rights to all citizens not just a select few?

Iran has sharia law. This is muslim religious law. In the Q"uran it says that a homosexual must be a) stoned to death b ) hanged c) have a wall pushed over on them or d) thrown off a high cliff.

lately they've been hanging more than any of the others.

I would guess either Indonesia or Saudi Arabia. These countries go by the law of the Koran. I heard that Indonesia has the death penalty for masturbation. I haven't confirmed it though.
