Keep in mind that not everyone ovulates on day 14 of her cycle...having sex on the days you listed does increase your chance of conceiving, since sperm can stay viable an average of 72 hours. However, it is still too soon to tell. If your cycle is 28 days, then your period is not due until Dec 28th. I would say the earliest a hpt would be + is the 23rd, but that is also unlikely...
PS...I'm not sure how far along the person studying to be an OB is in his or her "training," but I think it is highly presumptuous---and incorrect---to say that "it sounds like you are pregnant." Nothing about your statement suggests that other than the fact that you had intercourse at the appropriate point in your cycle to conceive....(I'm an NP)

It is possible and if your period is not due for another week or so then the test probably did not pick up the hormone yet. Only about 50% percent of women can take a test before their missed period and get a positive reading and that is usually only about 4 days early so if you are still a week and a hafe away then you might want to wait it out. To be honest it sounds like you are pregnant! I am actually studying to be an OB so from my stand point I would think that you are.
Good luck!!

It could possibly be. Symptoms of being pregnant though are quite crazy and different among all people. I just found out I was pregnant on Thanksgiving, and I had bloating, cramping, pain in my breasts, and headaches. Another person could be different though. I would buy a few more packages of the pregnancy tests and continue to check. Your period might be strange also this month due to stress or anxiety as well. Again, sorry, but there's no one clue what pregnancy will exactly look like. Sometimes, it's just a waiting game!

If you were pregnant it would more than likely not show up on a pregnancy test yet. When I got pregnant my period started at the end of a month and went into the next month so I thought it was taken care of for both months, I know dumb me! You'll have to wait I say another week and take another test. Good luck with whichever way you want it to go! It would be a nice Christmas present to yourself though!

I would wait until after your period is due to take a pregnancy test. If it comes out negative again, wait a few more wks. Then take another test!! this test should tell you if your prego or not! If concerned after the 1st test, go see an obgyn!

I don't think so. The egg life is less than the 4 day time between ovulation and sexual contact. And if you are PG, it's too early for the home tests to be accurate.
Now, if you don't want to be pregnant, STOP HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
