I don't think it ruins it you still have the insulation of distance, most of us are a thousand miles away from each other. You could make a case that it increases the mystery. Now that you know someones facial features don't you wonder about other stuff? What their voice sounds like, how tall are they, is their butt as wide as their shoulders? What is their general demeanor ? Do they have an accent when they talk( eh?). You have a special talent for questions and probably have a better idea about the make-up of your "fans'" phsyche than most questioners but every question you ask leads to another unknown. I know I find myself challenged and introspective most of the time when your ?'s come out and the distance between us makes me far less reticent than if you were standing next to me. You help to remind me of what I'm like.

I understand what you're saying. The internet gives us the ability to be the individual we want to be, and often aren't able to be in a crowd. I can be anyone I choose when I'm here; male, female, young, old, straight, or even gay for some. Only a small handful of people know the real me. I'm not a serial killer, or sexual predator. I'm just a shy married individual. Stuck in the rut of working two full-time jobs, and a part-time job to raise the 5 children. I have at home with my wife. Our marriage isn't one of love, and caring for each other. It's one of convenience. Neither of us is abusive to the other. We just have accepted, that we must be together for our kids, and give them the best shot at having a normal life we can.

No. There is mystery in every one. If not your true face, then your personality or your past. There is always something in everyone that we do not know for sure. This is why I think everybody is just so sexy until they turn me off somehow.

My animated avatar got enough perv mail. I think people who show their face might actually get more unsolicited attention. I don't want a Yahoo stalker, which is why I never post my picture.

You're not being weird, I can relate to what you're saying. On the internet, you could be whoever you want to be, unless a person knows you personally, people won't know if you're telling the truth or not.

No, you're not a weirdo. I haven't shown my true face, but that's just because no one has ever really tried to get to know me!
