Why do you have to explain anything to her? It's your time, you can do with it what you want.

To some people Yahoo! Answers is a waste because there are people out there not facing important problems at the moment. But I have to disagree with her because there are TONS of people on Yahoo! Answers that are actually begging for help and giving their problems out to the world and that takes guts. Explain to her that when people face problems in their life they come here to get advice so it's not a waste of time but actually very useful. I hope this helped...good luck!

Let her know that answers is a way of giving back to the world. If she doesn't buy it, ask her how it would feel to walk home every day to a new home (with a different address) and never know the address?
