If to convert from grams to moles. You have to divide the # of grmas over the Atomic Weight of the compound (element).
Then, how do I convert from moles to grams? I multiply grams times Atomic Weight?

You do it backwardsish. All you do is MULTIPLY the # of grams with the atomic wieght of the element.
It should look like this for both:
Grams > Moles

(# of grams) -------------- 1
_________ ---times----- ______
1 -------------------------- (atomic weight)

Moles > Grams

(# moles)-----------------(atomic weight)
________----times-------______________
1 --------------------------------- 1

Multiply step one by step two.

to go from g to mols = given grams/1 X 1mol/molar mass of element in g. This gives Mols as the g cancel.

to go the other way... set it up the opposite way.

Start with given Mols/1 X molar mass in G/1mol. this gives g as mols cancel out.
