When I was doing my science project, I decided to study the effect of water on light waves. I toyed with various experiements...shining light through water bottles with waters of different colors (easy to accomplish with a simple food dye). Soon I started to measure how water could intensify light waves that are passing through (or do just the opposite).

There are plenty of things you can throw into the mix. It ended up with me making a very cool thing that I still have in my room...I rigged up this multi-chamber bottle type thing with different colored water in each chamber. There is a light passing through, and mirrors around it. The light reflects all around my room, making my room glow different colors...it looks like a giant aquarium. A GREAT result for something that required minimal amounts of time. Ingredients are easy:

water
bottle
food dye (optional)
flashlight (or any source of light

Then, like I said, you can get creative. Throw mirrors, magnifiers...anything into the mix.

Hope this helps =) Happy holidays!

Something about new clean sources of energy would be good.. there are so many new things for the future ... Wind powered electric generators... Solar power.. and they are now perfecting changing coal to a liquid fuel that burns cleanly .. (America has as much coal as the middle east has oil) If we perfect this system we can make electricity, run our airplanes and trains on it.. we will then not be dependent on other foreign countries for fuel, and will not have to drill for more oil in places we want to preserve.
