Usually, with laptops, touchpads are heat-sensitive and usually when, or if, your laptop gets too hot, your touch-pad will pick up the heat and move suddenly on its own.

This usually isn't a problem, what you might want to do is invest in one of those laptop cooling trays that they sell at electronics stores (They usually draw heat from the laptop from under it, but it should suck some heat away from your computer)

Also, clean out the vent where the fan is with a vacuum; suck out the dust that could be laying in the ventilation, as it disallows heat from passing out.

Also, periodically, just give your laptop a rest. Put it on standby for about 30 minutes to release the heat.

Hopefully your problems should be resolved. But rest assure, this is a common problem (It has happened to me a few times, it's nothing).

P.S. When typing, be sure to type around it. Your wrist and palm area gives off heat, of course, and if too close the touchpad will pick up on it.
