2 $15 dollar iTune gift-cards would be best. Music is an awesome thing and since you're not sure what they are into then this would be an excellent idea.
If not for music, then perhaps a membership to Blockbuster or Netflix. With BB, you get free movie coupons for free rentals in the store plus their selection is so much better then Net Flix.
Or a subscription for Gameflyy. If your BF is a gamer.. For your mom, take her to lunch?

Buy a picture frame at Michaels and put a nice photo of the two of you so he can keep it at home.
Guys like gadgets... tools, electronics.
They also like to babied. A massage treatment or a sea weed wrap? Mario Tricocci has schools all over the country where you can get great services for dirt cheap.

I would get the mom something nice, maybe holiday related, to put around the house. Maybe a candle holder or a wreath.
For your bf, I suggest you make fun coupons to give him - for things like "One back massage" or "You pick the movie and we'll rent it" or "I'll make anything you want for dinner." Get creative.

I think anything you get him he will love but you could get him a romantic card and a box of choclates or a teddy bear but for his mom I dont know mabe a card.... sorry I couldnt help you much with his mom. :)
