This sounds stupid. But I'm still really scared to the point I can't stop worrying about this.
I'm 14 & I haven't had my period for a little over 3 months. This is probably because I juss started like a year ago & have never really been that regular. Also since the end of last week my stomach feels kinda bloated but not much .. probably cause I've gained a couple pounds since going off a diet & eating holiday food [I'm 5'5" & 109 lbs. .. I was like 104 lol]. These are the only "signs" I have.
But anyways the other night [the night before I started freaking out] I had a horrible dream that I was pregnant! Since then I keep thinking I'm like pregnant .. which is dumb I have never done ANYTHING!!! with a guy. And I keep trying to talk myself out of it due to the fact its basically impossible but in the back of my mind I'm still scared cause I've heard rumors about girls getting pregnant from toliet seats & stuff !?!

I can't stop worrying. Can anyone convince me that I'm NOT pregnant?

Relax sweet baby. You will not get pregnant from a toilet seat or anything else other than intercourse. If you haven't engaged in that, then rest your nerves. Stress can cause your period to be delayed.

Sweetie, if you have never had sexual intercourse, then you are NOT pregnant. You can't get pregnant from oral sex by the way, only vaginal intercourse. You absolutely cannot get pregnant from a toilet seat or anything else other than vaginal intercourse

You are young, and very skinny for your height. The fact that you are so skinny, 14 and only started 3 months ago, and are stressed out are all things that can affect your periods. Many gymnasts don't get their period until they are grown because they are so small that their body doesn't properly go through puberty until they gain enough weight to convince their body that they are old enough. It's like a mind game with your body.

Many girls don't have regular periods for several years after their first period. I certainly didn't. In fact, I was an adult when mine became regular, and that was only because I went on the pill.

My main concern for you is that you have convinced yourself twice now that you have something going on that isn't likely (the brain tumor) or isn't possible (pregnancy without intercourse), and you have suggested that you are "semi-schitzophrenic." I would suggest some counseling to see where this is coming from so that you can lead a normal life without worrying that you are sick or dying or have some problem all the time. If your parents can't or won't take you to counseling, at least go to your counselor at school. They will be able to help you overcome whatever is causing you to worry about such things!

Don't worry girl. Unless you are Mary you are not prego. You definitely have to have done more than a little something with a guy to get pregnant. When you first start getting your period you may miss it and be quite irregular. I was...I never got it on the same day and I missed it often. STRESS is a key factor and Weight as well. Both of the things that are happening to you can contribute to your irregularity. Try to make sure you are eating regularly and just breathe....if you miss your period for more months longer...I would say call your doctor to make sure that nothing else is going wrong like an infection or other things.

You are not pregnant. Dumb urban legends anyway. My friend had the same problem when she first started in that she would go for 3 to 4 months without her period, then 2 weeks, then a long time again. LET YOUR MOM KNOW. She might have even had the same problem when she was your age. Odds are its just growing up and hormones adjusting but if you continue to worry, see a Doctor. If anything, they can get you on something to control the time between periods and double check to make sure everything is okay.

It is extremely unlikely that you could get pregnant from a toilet seat. In fact, I am pretty sure it is impossible.

However, at your age, you should really be talking to your parents or school nurse about this, not strangers on the internet.

Just calm down and take a deep breath. If you have never done anything with a boy, then I am sure you have nothing to worry about. But please talk to someone you actually know about this. I am sure that they will understand and might even be able to teach you a few things about the birds and the bees. Good luck.

It's pretty simple stuff. If you haven't been in close areas with a boy's sperm, you aren't pregnant. Definitely. No one has ever gotten prego from a toliet seat. Talk to your mom. She would probably welcome the chance to talk to you about it, especially if she finds out that you are not at all sexually active at this time. It will help build up the relationship for later on. It is probably nothing more than irregular periods but Mom may want to talk to the doctor. Don't freak. I'm sure she can find a female doctor for you if you would feel better. Really, quit stressing, that is probably what is causing you to be irregular.

ok, if you have not had sex and have not come into any close contact with a guy's penis, you are NOT PREGNANT--as far as i know, there is NO WAY YOU COULD BE PREGNANT

the only reason you had that dream about being pregnant is that you keep thinking about it so much

my period is STILL somewhat irregular, and i've been having it for two years now, so that's nothing to worry about--that's the way it is with everybody

oh & also (on a seperate note): you DON"T need to go on a diet b/c 109 lbs is a pretty small weight for someone who is 5'5"

so, anyways, relax about the whole pregancy thing =]

You are NOT pregnant. I promise you. You cannot get pregnant from sitting on a toilet seat. If that were true, than anyone who has a brother would be in deep doo.

There is a statistic that only three out of ten woman get pregnant on their first try (with sex). If it were as easy as sitting on a toilet seat, than more couples would not struggle so hard to get pregnant. In fact, some would probably just skip the sex and settle on the toilet with a nice book for an hour.

Calm down, if you didn't have sex or a man did not put his manhood anywhere near your area, your NOT pregnant.

5'5" and 110lbs is not exactly plump. Lean girls menstuate less regularly than plump ones in the early years, and hormone levels are lover between October and April. You probably just do not have enough hormones going to menstruate if you are thin and young in the winter, as you are. My daughters experienced the same thing, one for her first *3* winters menstuating, because she is an athelete and very lean. Five years and/or five pounds would fix this I bet :)

The pregnancy stick is cheap, reliable and will make you feel better. It is a good suggestion.

Sugar, evidently your mother hasn't talked with you about "things" and you haven't done much reading. You CANNOT get pregnant off a commode seat!!!!! Have you been using the Men's restroom? LOL

Forget it!! You must not have very much to keep yourself busy. You have too much time to daydream, think and like the old saying goes....."An idle mind is the devil's workshop".

It sounds like you need get a hobby, stop thinking rubbish, get your head screwed on straight and be happy....and that does NOT include sex. Good luck. Pops
