It takes the same amount of time to mail that one as it takes to mail any other letter. The delivery time is your problem. Even though 1st class use to be the next day, coast to coast, that stopped years ago. 1st class from New Jersey to Michigan probably will take 2 days minimally, but more than likely, will take 3 ... and that's if everything goes right!

I live in South Jersey and my daughter is a student at Fordham University in New York City. I've sent small parcels, priority mail which is first class for a package, several times this semester. If they arrive on time, it's 2 to 3 days. But we had one small box , sent priority, take 23 days ... go figure!

I'd say 2 days, first class. Make sure to deposit it at the post office early on a weekday morning. Good luck. There's also some overnight services like DHL and Federal Express. Depends on how rural of a place you are sending the letter to. Ask the post office about delivery options.

Wouldn't that depend on the time of year? I know mailing from TX to ND takes a 3 days but mailing from ND to TX takes a week. Use Priority mail if you want it there quick
