me and my best guy mate hav been friends 4 ages... latley we hav been seeing each other more and we do tell each other everything so i can understand y my parents would make the assumption that we are together... but they dont seem to listen when i explain that we are not... how do i convince them that we are not together?

When I was a teenager and I had a guy best friend too and everyone thought we were sleeping together, which we weren't. After I tried to convince them that I wasn't I got tired and said let them think what they want. So my advise to you is, let them think what they want and you go on being friends with whom ever you choose. Another piece of advise, don't let your boyfriends split the two of you up either. Make sure he knows you have a best friend and he is guy and he has to except you that way or no way at all. Thats where I made some mistakes. Hope that helps, Good luck!!

I hate to say this but if the two of you are hanging out a lot and can confied in each other for everything it can look like you are a couple and not only to your parents but others as well.

i have the exact same problem!!!! see i have this guy friend who is my best friend and all my girls think were dating and it kind of a big deal cuz im in 8th grade and he is in 6th grade and were great friends and i want to date him but they will understand eventually.
