Why is Hyiene so important to teenagers???

Otherwise, they won't get a partner. A cause was also, amongst others, fear of diseases. Not so very very many years long ago, showering every day was not done, maybe once a week - or less.

Some talk about a bad smell. Well, that's very relative. What people nowadays think is a bad smell, wasn't the case a number of decades or centuries ago. Many people don't like the smell of sweat (anymore), but it's very natural.

BTW, if you would check if teenagers would wash their hands good enough (if at all) after using the toilet, you might not still think hygiene is really that important to them! Because your potential partners can't smell if hands are washed good, but they can smell it if someone doesn't shower, the latter is much more popular.

Because they're forming habits to last the rest of their lives. It's important that they are pleasant to be around and nobody likes to be around a person with bad hygiene. Also, their body chemistry is changing, making it important to keep clean or they will have body odor.

They care more about how other people perceive them. I'm sure they don't want to be the kid everybody talks about how bad they smell. They want to have nice clean breath for when they kiss or get close to kissing a boy or girl they like. Most important they want to keep clean for the opposite sex , or whoever their into.

Personal Hygiene is important to everyone at any age. To keep yourself clean all over is providing proper precaution to prevent any bacterial infections. Teeth as well as hair included.

1. If you don't have good hygiene, you stink.
2. If you don't have good hygiene, your skin looks terrible.
3. If you don't have good hygiene, your hair is greasy and smells like a cat box.
4. If you don't have good hygiene, then you may want to move to a 3rd world country where everyone else smells so much they won't notice.

Because they are totally self conscious and self absorbed.

Hygiene is a good daily regimen, but to be completely preoccupied with cologne and perfume and deodorants and fake nails and pedicures and make up and glitters....sheesh...it's all about looking in the mirror. (probably because they are changing, they see a different person in the mirror and that's compelling)

Because it is a time when teen girls are into teen boys and we want to look our best so we can attract the opposite sex and also have friends.
