i have a very tom boyish voice and im often mistaken for my brother on the phone. but my first bf said my voice was ugly so i made it high like that... when he dumped me (no good..*mutter mutter*) i wanted to punch myself in the gutt for talking like that for so long, now im backta normal, hopefully.

I dont know... but, lil' brainiac, I am the same way. I got mistaken for my brother on the phone once too. When I was in 8th grade, this girl told me I had a "very grown" voice. My husband teases me sometimes when I talk to other people because my voice becomes "rough sounding" around strangers. We were ordering sub sandwiches and he looked at me and said, "why are you talking like a man?" I wanted to beat him for saying it outloud.

because they are fake and trying to be something they are not. Its a game like all the other games most people play! Remember the song,,
games people play now, every night and every day now
never knowing what they say now, never saying what they mean...
Ok, I haven't heard it since I was a kid, but I understood then as I do today.

Because they want to be the blonde who swims 3/4 of the way to the U.S., and turns back because they're tired. There are so many girls that talk like that! I just want to strangle them and make them talk normally.

I used to to do that too. I didn't plan to, my voice just comes out that way. But now I'm trying not to act like that.

Because they really want something? Why do guys like you always say bad things about chics, just because they don't have one themselves? I don't talk in the 'voice' your describing....maybe you're just weird

Yeah, I think we all know the answer to that.
And I think we can all agree, to some extent (if not all the damn time) that it's annoying and pathetic if they resort to it for attention.
And when they WHINE, you just wanna c0ck a gun and blow their heads off.
