First of all - the other person who answered about BCS is confused. This is BASKETBALL.

If the Badgers run the table up to the show down against Ohio State -- that would be wins over Pacific, @Georgia, and Minnesota and then beat the Buckeyes, they would have a good argument for #1. However, somewhere in that equation, both N. Carolina and UCLA would have to lose. It is harder to leapfrog teams that don't lose ahead of you.

It is just unreal! This is an incredible start for the Badgers and I just hope that they are not peaking too early. This is literally unchartered waters in the history of Wisconsin Basketball. The bench is very deep and with Brian Butch blowing up against Pitt and Orlando Tucker introducing himself to the national elite stage, there is no reason the Badgers could end up on top in the rankings at some point down the road. But at the same time, while it is hard to get the top, it is harder to stay there. I just hope the Badgers can keep this pace for the long haul.

However, unlike football, the rankings are not as important. It is all about what you do in March. And if the Badgers can keep up the intensity and skill - and with Bo as coach, they certainly can - there is no reason why the Badgers couldn't make a serious run in the Tourney.

GO BADGERS!

It's certainly possible. In basketball it is much easier than in football to move ahead of other teams that didn't suffer a loss (I don't see UCLA losing anytime soon). It's nice to see a different team making some noise rather than the usual bball schools
