I'm working out for baseball right now and I've heard that bench-pressing is bad for throwing motion.

It is truly a pitchure, or outfielders workout. The best shapeup
for baseball in aerobics is the treadmill, carrying substantial
weight, though not when strained, tired, undernourished, or
bemused. A good workout would include some Boston music
like amanda, sensing the fuller strengths of the lengths. It is
very much the hustle of baseball that keeps leaner cleaner. An
easy walk for one mile, add 10 pound weights with a stand if
possible, and keep working along for another mile total. Using
a training measure of comfortable carries, not into strains.

Not if you keep your technique in check. If anything, it should help you.

And disregard what the guy on upstairs just said; press for strength, not endurance.

I don't think any major league pitcher brags about how many times he can rep 50 pounds.

Work shoulders and back as well to build a solid throwing arm.

Press for endurance, not for bulk. The bulk is what gets you into trouble.
