I am not really worried about this, but I don't think it is normal either. I have had my period for five years and it has always been somewhat irregular, and on a long cycle. It happens not every 28 days or so but anywhere from 45 to 60 days apart, and most recently it was 70 days. Could something be wrong, or is it fine? Could there be problems in the future?

I would recommend seeing your OB/GYN. It's probably nothing serious. Half of my girl friends have periods similar to what you go through. I'd recommend going on birth control, if your doctor approves. It regulates your period. Mine now come on every Thursday of the month, without fail, and last for exactly 3 days. So that's what I would recommend doing, but definitly see the doctor anyway.

All women are diffrent, and some are known to have very light far apart periods. But 70 days is a long time.

If you're concerned, it is really best to consult a doctor, and perhaps go on birth control to help level out your hormones.

You could have something wrong, if so, it would be wise to know ASAP to avoid any problems in the future.
