Fights, by a longshot. If they don't show up, then at least they won't be fighting at your house.

Family fights, most definitely. They create and promote bad feelings that can linger way past the holiday season. If family doesn't show up, oh well, have fun anyway and go on with your traditions. Don't depend on others to make you happy. Bieng happy at christmas or anytime is just bieng content on finding true joy within yourself. In other words, be happy bieng you.

I guess it depends how close you are with your family. My close relatives are considered my family too. So, for me, i think it's probably family not showing up. Well, if you don't see them very frequently, it'll be really sad if you can't see them during the biggest event of the year, right? My family doesn't really fight that much too, because we're always in a happy mood when we see each other!

Family fights. Family not showing up could mean peace in ur house..or maybe they are just caught up w something and cant come.
Family fights...you will try to beth middleperson and it is tough.

I ask myself the same question. I love my family,but if their going to fight I'd rather they not show up to ruin it for everyone else.
