i've got been dancing for years, highland dancing is genuinely puzzling and between the main strenuous activities. to illustrate: In a six-step Highland Fling, a dancer will bounce vertically 192 situations (the equivalent of working a mile) on one foot at a time, jointly as appearing complicated and sophisticated footwork, and using the muscle mass from head to toe. Highland dancing is consequently similar to sprinting, so bypass run a mile with your hands above your head on your ft in delicate shoes wearing 7-10 pounds of wool clothing, and don't ignore to smile!! :)Then attempt and say its no longer puzzling.

I do! did it when I was younger, but being the only asian girl at the highlands festival every year was pretty weird. Kudos on taking up a little known form!

I would assume it has some origins in Scotland. I love all things Celtic. Just wondering if it's anything like Riverdance?
