Tell your wife that love is being there for someone no matter how hard things get. Love is dedicating yourself to someone and putting that person above yourself no matter what the cost. Love is knowing that person will be there for you no matter how depressed you get, scared you get, or how clueless you are about the world around you. Love is discovering yourself and the person you love together and growing. Love can be whatever she wants it to be. Love has no rules. Life is the opportunity to love and grow. Life is the opportunity to experience as much as possible in the short times we are here on Earth. Life is for living like there is no tomorrow but knowing and praying that there always will be. Living is whatever you want it to be, procreating, working, traveling, loving, being, music, movies, children, grandchildren, animals. There is so much good in this world but we are fed the bad. Let her know you will be there for her no matter what and you have your whole lives to figure it all out and even if you never do figure it out you have each other and always will. And, there is someone up above.

Tell her this, Love is the flutter in your belly of a child, or the flutter you felt when you said "I do". It is giving your all and feeling there is always more to give than to recieve. Life is a gift that we are given that is not promised and it should not be taken away by our own hands. Living is doing what it takes to make others happy and inturn making yourself feel complete. There are multiple resources out there that can help your wife. Try AFSP.org

Love is giving. Life begins with a heart beat and grows. Living is a quality of love and life. It sounds as if your wife is very ill. God bless her.

Wow. What a powerful series of questions. Unfortunately, they can never be answered completely, and each person has a different answer that they may or may not discover through the course of their life. But this is what I have defined life as:

"a vortex of seemingly never-ending questions that end at a point of infinite density, which is death"

Life is sharing it with the one you love and living life at its fullest. Love will make you feel like nothing can break you down. The feeling you feel in your heart will be so overwhelming you will know its love.

Go for it. Live love and laugh

love is your wife(the person that you'd give your life up to first and only, well at least to you have kids and then they are your love), life is what you want it to be, and living is how preciously we use our time that was given to us.

Then she better just drink the hemlock now.

Man has struggled to answer these questions for thousands of years.

Tell her - "You don't know? Welcome to the club."

We all struggle to answer these questions for ourselves over the entire course of our lifetimes. Some are lucky to answer one before they die. If there was some easy answer, we'd all have it on a bumper sticker.
