Just had this thought today. I work for a non-profit that helps needy people and it is really difficult to get funding and donations because there is a large portion of the population that feel needy people deserve what they get. (and thats putting it in general terms, but essentially, that is the attitude type I am referring to.) I just started wondering if those people are for or against abortion. How do those against abortion feel about undocumented immigrants, since their children are entitled to benefit from the public welfare system. And, if they are against it, how do they propose the children are cared for if they are born into families in need?
I am not trying to start an argument and not really sure how I feel about abortion, I am against it for myself, but don't know how I feel about it for others.

Did you see the John Stossel special where he did a report on who is giving the most money to charity?? It is the conservatives and the people who go to church which include the working poor. This is very insightful and worth taking the time to read and view the entire story.

I am against abortion and also am a giver to charity. Just about everyone I know gives generously to charity and is also pro-life.

Im against abortion (except for health of mother, or possibly incest and rape cases), and I am FOR public assistance programs for those who deserve it, not for those that abuse the system, or use it as an excuse not to better themselves.

I needed public assistance after a bad divorce left me a single, non-working mom to 4 children, 3 of them toddlers. I am off of it now, and self sufficient.

Against abortion and in favor of some forms of public assistance. People who genuinely need public assistance while they are working to get on their feet is one thing, but mooching is another.

Those who are against abortion for themselves but believe it should be an option for others are engaging in elitism, whether conscious or subconscious. "Pro-choice but morally opposed" is the most hypocritical position one can take on the abortion issue. In reality, you either believe it is murder and should not be allowed, or you believe that it should be a rite of passage for a young woman...there is no in between. If it is murder, then it is always wrong. Period. Why should only poor children be murdered? Why should only children conceived out of wedlock be murdered? Why should only children that are unwanted by ONE person on this earth (their mother) be murdered? Why should only children who may have a disability be murdered? Are they any less valuable because of any of these things? I think not.

I am against abortion and I believe that the public welfare system and public assistance are necessary to help those who need a temporary leg-up during a tough time in their lives. However, I don't believe that it should be a way of life...those who continually live off of the system are simply taking advantage of the public's generosity and should be ashamed of themselves.

Undocumented immigrants and their children, who are already here, deserve basic human rights, such as the right to medical help if they are injured. They are already here, and they are human. But they DON'T have a right to benefit from public programs and education that are funded by AMERICAN taxpayers. They are here illegally and have no right to benefit from these things. Eventually, the programs will be swamped and then will be unavailable to those American citizens who are truly in need.

I believe area of your screed, that each and each physique females (no longer in simple terms those on welfare) ought to acquire thorough information and counseling on start administration and abortion. so a strategies as your desire to make it non everlasting, it already is. there's a 5-3 hundred and sixty 5 days lifetime shrink for TANF (the T stands for non everlasting). clientele are additionally required to seek for employment. unmarried mothers and fathers are required to take part in artwork events for no less than 30 hours each and every week. And a kinfolk gets approximately $eighty/month extra effective for one extra newborn. As you will see that, it is not particularly a extensive funds cow. I do have faith that fathers ought to have as lots financial duty for a newborn by using fact the mummy.
