How much it costs depends on the age of your baby. We use premix formula in 32 oz. bottles. When Lilly was first born a bottle would last 3 or 4 days 11 months later it is lasting about a day and a half. However, we also feed her rice cereal and baby food now. A case of 6 bottles of formula is about $35. Baby food is about $0.65/jar. I don't know how much the cereal is but it lasts a really long time and I would guess it's around $5.00/box.
Using these figures:
When Lilly was first born it cost $7.00 to $14.00 per week.
At 11 months it's about $95.00 per week.
Keep in mind that the premixed liquid formula is the most expensive type of formula the powder form is much cheaper. We use the premix because it helped keep Lilly from spitting up.

Baby food doesn't HAVE to cost ANYTHING extra than what you spend on your food right now!
Breastfeeding is free.
But if you choose to use formula, buy store brand-it's FDA regulated to meet nutritional standards, so it's just as good nutrionally as the expensive stuff.
Baby should have nothing but breastmilk or formula until 6 months of age and should get most of his nutrition from breastmilk or formula until 1 year of age.
Breastfed babies (FF babies have not beenstudied) can self wean onto solids at 6 after 6 months of age using table food
If you really want to do puree for baby make homemade baby food--check out SUPER BABY FOOD by Ruth Yaron--all it takes is a blender, some ice cube trays and whatever food you are eating!

Do you mean jarred baby food? Cereal? Neither of those is nessacary, since you can offer baby simple things like mashed up banana or avacado that you buy fresh. You can also steam sweet potatoes, yams, etc. Some babies don't even need it mashed up, even at first (mine didn't). Cooked meat such as turkey, lamb, or chicken can be shedded finely for baby to eat.
If you do want to use some jarred food, around here it costs about $.50 per jar if you buy it on sale, closer to a dollar at reg price. At first, baby won't even be eating a whole jar every day, and probably by the time he needs more than the equivalent of one jar a day, he'll be demanding food that he can feed himself.
Honestly, since I'm breastfeeding, I dind't spend much at all on food for my son until he was over a year.

Well if you are talking about formula depends on what kind but it ranges from 120 month at least to what I pay which is 24 a can so that is about 200 a month.( she needs a special formula)
baby food is around 40 -50 a month.

It depends on the type of formula you feed your baby. With some formulas you can get a store brand that is way cheaper then the name brand stuff. It all depends on what your doctor wants you to feed your baby. There is also a program called WIC that helps people of a certain income to pay for formula. A lot of people don't even think they qualify and do. You can quite a bit of money and still qualify for it.

it depends on if you breastfeed or formula feed. I'm breastfeeding and it cost me for everything for food and diapers and everything you need for the baby minus the clothing about $120.00 a month if you formula feed it will cost a lot more.

$1.50 day for 3 baby food jars X 30
$6.00 formula per day ( ready to use, which is more expensive) X 30
$2.52 for cereal X 2 boxes
________________
approx $230
However, since I spend $4-$8 a day at Starbucks, I don't complain, and my little guy is more than worth it!!!

If you aren't rich, then go to your local WIC office. (women, infants, and children) If your income meets the requirements you can get vouchers for formula and as they get older it changes to stuff like milk, eggs, cereal..etc. This is very helpful if you can't afford 200/month.
