Yahoo DSL is fine, when it comes to security, the ISP doesn't really matter. It is safe if you use it correctly. If you go to a bunch of porn sites with Internet Explorer, it is not safe.

To keep your computer safe, get Firefox (getfirefox.com). Firefox is a web browser (an alternative to Internet Explorer), that will help keep you r computer safe from spyware and viruses because it is better written and is not the target of all the hackers due to the fact that it is not the most popular browser. It is not the most popular browser because it does not come with most computers.

Norton Internet Security is junk, it is expensive and slows down your computer. Free software will have the same effect. Zone Alarm is a comperable firewall, and Spybot Search & Destroy is a free and very effective anti-spyware application. AVG Antivirus is better than Norton, in my oppinion. I use all of these products.

Good luck!

With any DSL or highspeed connection get a firewall then you will be pretty safe. Comcast High Speed Internet is alot better than Yahoo DSL by the way.

If you are worried about security, norton is one of the firewalls I use. I also use a free firewall called zonealarm. You can download zonealarm at www.zonealarm.com. I have been using both and have yet to get a virus.
