There are thousands of reports of god healing all sorts of mallidies through his power, but none of them involve people growing back limbs. He does say he will answer prayrs, so I am pretty sure that at some point, somebody asked him to give them back a leg, or an arm, or something....

Sorry, I should have said...
We should confine ourselves to modern times, becasue miracles of the bible tend not to be so common these days. After all.. Jesus is a little differant then a man praying for help. Besides, it never says Lasurs was any more then just Lame.... in other words, we don't know how he was injured. (handicap sometimes are healed "with the power of god")

by the way... none of these answers are actually work (though some are interesting, or funny, keep them comeing.)
write2kimberlymueller: Why are the amputees the only group who has to coup with these problems permenantly- every other group gets healed (sometimes, except for the dead) so why not amputees?

The correct question is "Why doesn't God answer all prayers for healing?"
The bible quotes Jesus as saying that all prayers are answered (Matthew 7:7, John 14:14), that nothing is impossible through prayer (Mark 11:24, Matthew 17:20) and that you need only the tiniest amount of faith (Matthew 17:20).
Yet the only answers to prayers for healing are for healing that can happen without prayer. A little girl recovers from rabies; it's an infection and our bodies are almost constantly fighting off infections. Cancer; again, our bodies are almost constantly fighting it off.
Yet, multiple-sclerosis, Down's syndrome, amputation, Parkinson's disease, etc; these are never healed.
Whatever the reason that some things are never healed, the bible is either incorrect or incomplete about prayer.

I understand what your saying, but it is in my opinion that the miracles of god's healing are usually exagerated in order to tell a story or give examples. I believe many things in the bible especially aren't supposed to be taken literally, but more as stories that teach things. God doesn't do all the healing for you, if you pray, for example, to walk again, and then you do, god didn't just heal you and that was it, he acted through you to give you the will power and strength to walk again. At least this is my opinion that makes sense to me. So as far amputees go, you can pray and will you limbs to grow back but science says thats not going to happen. Some people may argue that it was god's plan to take the limb although, I wouldn't go that far...

Many people misunderstand the implications of religion. One look at everything God has ever said shows him to be a hypocrite, a liar, a fiend, and an obnoxious bully. He follows the model of the abusive parent, extorting whorship from followers in exchange (supposedly) for his not obliterating them, belittling and denigrating people into believing they are low and worthless, and then blaming people for things he is the cause of!
The constant unanswered question of theology is "If God is good, why is there evil and suffering in the world?" Theologists come up with twisted contorted answers to try to MAKE God good despite the clear fact that he cannot be. Some say our little minds can't comprehend the BIG PLAN.
The obvious answer to the question is that it makes no sense that this would be so, thus the premise ("if God is good") is flawed. We atheists jump to the conclusion that the failure of theologists to answer this question means that God does not exist. But the only conclusion we can REALLY draw is that the God they describe is not what he claims to be.
God erroneously describes himself as benevolent, but he defines what is good based on his own whims, often at our expense. He takes credit for creating all that is good, but all that is evil he blames on a fictitious patsy he calls Satan, or (worse) on us (AKA: free will). A God claiming to be all powerful but who is not held accountable for evil is clearly a responsibility-shirking liar.
Note that despite his claim to be a "creator," he has never actually created anything. He is not creator but divider; note how in his own words his acts of "creation" have him dividing and separating things (and people) from each other.
For centuries, he has told disparate groups of people that THEY are his chosen ones, that THEY alone have got it right, leading them all to feel justified in perpetrating violence in his name. Clearly this is what he wants: to see us dividied, separated from each other, at each other's throats.
This is why he "predicts" (i.e., instigates) an Armageddon in which we will destroy each other in his name, after which he will lay blame on US for what happened.
What can we do to stop this?

There's no miracle out there that someone won't explain as a natural occurance. If it takes faith to see a miracle where others just see nature at work, it should be no surprise that few, if any, miracles violate nature to the extent of water running uphill or limbs growing back. God doesn't hate anyone, but many people have entirely irrational beliefs about God.

God loves us all. if we are whole, and perfect, or full of holes and imperfections He still loves us all. God does not hate amputees. God is doing his best to heal every person and thier hearts. He may not give us back our missing limbs, but he gives us back the strenght to make it through everything we have to face in life. He is there for us when others are not.

I've come to the conclusion that he is an ******. For some reason, he hates physically handicapped people. In Leviticus 21:16-23, God said that anyone who has a physical defect like being blind or disfigured or deformed or is hunchbacked or has festering sores or damaged testicles "must not approach the altar, and so desecrate My sanctuary".

A dog can run with 3 legs...I think society hates amputees (and fat people and people with poor complexions too) but many can be entirely functional - people write with their feet, sign language, wheel chairs, etc...
People who overcome their difficulties and are grateful to be alive are usually happy people too! Sounds like God is working in their lives just fine...
The better question is: Why do people judge other people by what they have or don't have to determine their value as a person???

Very difficult to answer this question. Only consolation is that many people with all their limbs and faculties in tact lead a miserable life. Like our birth, certain things are beyond our desire and effort. It all happens. It is our Hindu philosophy which believes every thing happens according to our deeds in past and present. What ever happens is for good, we have to accept with grace. Please be sure God is Love and HE can be never otherwise.

God is not real. Mary Poppins also does not hate children, just because she is not going around with spoonfulls of sugar in real life. She is a fictional character. Give her her a break.
