why are humans so cruel to animals? plus, i think fur coats should be illegal.

I think the main reason why people are cruel to animals is Either:

Thier mad
They are mentally unstable
Love power and being in controll
Don't know what else to do with and animal.

I agree that fur coats should be illegal. You can make just as good of a coat with fake fur.

Yes, i agree fur coats should be illegal. I think it is because most (not all) humans dont believe animals have feelings too and dont understand the damage it has on the environment. Also i believe it has alot to do with money, the whaling industry an example and the fact that most (not all) dont care.

That's a question that only the abusers can answer. What goes on in their minds scares me, and to tell you the truth ... I wouldn't want to know, what goes on in thier sick minds, that makes them think that hurting another living being is alright.

I think anyone who hurts or kills an animal, on purpose ... should be subjected to MUCH harsher punishment, than what they do at present. This "slap on the wrist", that the justice system deems "just" is an insult to the animals who suffered.

As for fur coats ... in the days of the neanderthal ... OK, humans had no other means to keep warm and stay alive. But, at this day and age ... there is absolutely no reason to kill animals, for their fur alone ... none.

I really don't agree with fur coats either.
Alot of cute clothes can be made outta faux fur.

I do beleive that animals need to eat meat- it has occurred since the dawn of time. Animals eat animals- people eat animals etc.

I do not agree with the way we keep animals locked up before they are killed and they way they are killed.

I dont like veal but if I did, I would rather have it a little tough just so that poor baby could run around a little before they killed it.

People are so mean.

our ancestors used animals for millennia. without them we wouldn't have survived as long. and, why don't you try to pet a wild animal sometime. they will love you for it. if you get past the biting, scratching, and such. also, animals use each other in different ways. how is hunting with a gun immediately more cruel than one animal eating another while it's still alive? fur coats aren't really necessary as our technology is advanced enough to supply reliable substitutions. plants, are alive in some kind of way. how do you know they don't feel anything, walking meat-bag?

I don't know. I saw this video the other day from South America or Mexico.. and there was a crowd of people torturing a bull. I almost started bawling, yet at the same time I wanted to find all of those people and beat them senseless. Animals are innocent creatures who should be left alone. I just don't get it. It sickens me.

PS--The bull gored some of the jerks torturing it.. Serves those idiots right.

humans are cruel to animals because back then, they didn't have
nylon and such materials. i think that they just want to keep w/ the tradition. also, another posabillity, is because the person has problems and want to release it on something else. i, personally think that now we have more material, why can't we leave the poor animals alone!?

I don't know...I think it's disgusting. how anyone can hurt any animal is way beyond me, I think they are unevolved humans.

Fur coats should be illegal. The only exception I COULD make is leather as we eat the cow ( don't see people eating fox burgers) and only if the cow is killed humanely.

if you do like the indians used to and utilize the entire animal i think its ok, but breeding & killing an animal just for its fur is completely wrong, unless there is a way to provide the meat to needy families
