lets get this right, the labor warranty has nothing to do with how long the life of the shingles will last.
all the manufactor, elk, gaf, owens corning, tamko, certainteed, etc all make some sort of 20, 25, 30, 40 or 50 years shingle in a different styles and colors of course. when u buy shingle the manufactor warranties the life of the shingle, look at it as insurance policy when u purchase then, other than storm damage if they only last 20 yrs then the manufactor prorates the differents to u. keep proof of date of purchase and a copy of the warranty. i live in the se texas area which has high humidity, rain frequently and lots of sun. the average 30 yr roof, which i desire and sell to 99% of my customers, last between 15 to 20 yrs, of course there is variables, shade, cleaning debris off roof and standard maintenance. good luck, i prefer elk brand, the seal works better than other brands.

Where do you live? In a typhoon/hurricane prone area or far from the ocean? What kind of roofing material - painted galvanized metal like most houses here, shingles (and what kind), etc. If shingles, they'll probably last as long as the plywood under them. When I lived in New Jersey, my shingles lasted around 30 years. In Philippines, iron roofs have to be repainted about every 5-6 years or they will rust.

Drive around the old part of town and notice the roofs look different than newer house? That is because some of them are fifty years old and going. The manufacturer warranties their roofs for 25 plus years, but it could last twice that long.

Assuming you do not have bigger issues decrease than the roof, mutually with rotting plywood, then anticipate the recent shingles to final 20-30 years, observing the customary of the shingles offered. EDIT: whilst they inform you "20 365 days roof" they are bearing on the shingle. this is a 20 365 days shingle. It has no longer something to do with the pitch. The warrenty they supply you, although, would desire to evaluate different factors. i in my opinion doubt the warrenty will make bigger previous the score of the shingle, however.
