Depends on what you like to do. If you don't care about leaving the resort you can get by with $50 per day or less. If you like the club scene....count on needing about $100 per day....the average cost for the clubs is $40-$45 which includes all you can drink while you are there.....but don't forget the tips. Sightseeing trips run around $65 per person.....the dinner cruises are nice. The jungle tour is a fun day trip ....... as well as isla mujures. It all depends on your likes.....if you like laying around the pool and drinking all day....you won't need much. Also depends on the resort you plan on staying at. If they have nightly shows.....you will have plenty to do at the resort. If not.....go to Coco Bongo, Margaritaville, and Pat O'Briens.

Take very little cash on vacations! Use Credit Cards, Travlers Checks, or ATM if available. It's safer!

But if you were talking about a budget. It depends on a lot of things? How long are you staying? Are you going to buy gifts for your family and friends? Do you want to do things that are outside the scope of the all-inclusive resort?

The last time I was in Cancun (years ago) I spent about $50-$100 per day during my 5 day vacation

We went to the Moon Palace in 2002 and took $500.00 with us. I think we came back with over $200.00 left. As stated though a credit card would be good for emergencies.

If you plan on leaving the resort, then maybe $500. If you don't plan on leaving the resort, and your transportation to and from the airport is taken care of, then maybe a few hundred just for tips.

Actually, you should bring a credit card. That way you can take care of anything--including emergencies--without worry.
