George W. Bush has purchased 98,840 acres in Paraguay, near the Bolivian/Brazilian border.

Jenna Bush paid a secret diplomatic visit to Paraguayan President and the U.S. Ambassador. There were no press conferences, no public sightings and no official confirmation of her 10-day trip.

The Paraguayan Senate voted last summer to grant U.S. troops immunity from national and International Criminal Court (ICC) jurisdiction.

Immediately afterwards, 500 heavily armed U.S. troops arrived with various planes, choppers and land vehicles at Mariscal Estigarribia air base. More have reportedly arrived since then.

George Bush, Sr. is also involved in the deal, and that immunity against extadition is part of the law in Paraguay.

Isn't the Bush family rich enough to pay for its own troops and why is the US taxpayer funding troops as Bush's security guards?

Someone started this rumor back in October.
Every political blogger has asked for proof, and all of them are dismissing it as a rumor.

Unless there is some supporting documentation (like on his income tax return, or an deed from the seller in Paraguay), I feel pretty safe in dismissing it as a rumor, too.

Give me a source, and I'll follow up on its verity. Then I'll get back to you with my response...

Besides, regardless of the political party affiliation of a sitting president, he or she and his or her family have a legal right to military guard when they travel out of the country... Given the security threat to US government officials, I think its a wise move (if what you've written can be verified).

Edit: Give me a source in ENGLISH, jackhole...
Further edit: I DO speak Spanish. The point is, how can you "prove" anything to people when you don't give a source that everyone can read? The burden of proof lies upon you, the accuser. We shouldn't HAVE to google anything! If you are so bent on showing someone to be abusing power, you need to give more than two South American tabloid rag articles and a demand that we actually believe them.

Do you pleople believe every insane rumor you hear? I got one for you. Clinton is really George W.'s older brother, and they're all really the children of Ronald Reagan who had a secret affair with Barbara Bush and who is plotting a takeover of the valuable fig groves of Syria from beyond the grave!

Sources? You have to love these statements, especially with no sources! If they reported it on air america it must be true, funny that it hasn't made the main stream press. Oh I know, Bush is holding them captive till the brown shirts show up.
