Im pretty busy, and I live in Maine, so I probably wouldn't be able to skate right away. I just want some tips on good, low priced skateboards, learning to do some street tricks, and all that.

Join the club! I just started learning a week ago. No one taught me either. Just try looking on youtube and typing in stuff like "How to skateboard - beginners" or "How to Ollie/Kickturn"...That type of thing. Also just keep practicing. You really do get better! Every day for a week, I've been doing 2 hrs a day, and I really am a lot better. Before you do tricks, do the basics. Because if you can skate, than you should (after time) be able to be amazing. Good luck!

getting better means practicing more, it doesn't matter how good your skateboard is, i suggest you get a decent board, not a toys r' us generic board, because you'll never get better. go to www.activemailorder.com or www.ccs.com and build yourself a complete skateboard i suggest you get a blank or the store's brand because their cheaper, a more expensive board won't make you a better skater. get a blank $20, Bearings: Bones Reds $15 Whatever trucks: 35, whatever wheels: 25, grip and hardware 10, little over 100, or just buy a pre made complete which are okay get the cheapest which runs around 80-100... all you need learn tricks is to watch how to skate videos off youtube, then skateboard everyday for 1 hour or more, then you'll see improvement ....get a helmet too, but you want to look cool so don't
