This is nuts, the serial number is no where to be found on range or in manuals. The stupid broiler part in need of replacement, and without serial number it is impossible to order. These new stoves are junk !!!! Purchased in 1990 (electronic ignition) it would not light after the installer left. Give me back my 1964 Caloric Gas Range -Burner with a Brain and flame broiler. These new appliances are junk unless you buy High End Name Brands . Cost of them makes you put them in your will !!!! Help we looked everywhere for the darn number !!!

Not sure about Caloric, but most ranges have the Model #, Serial # tag placed on the body of the unit, usually around either the oven door or the broiler drawer. If it's not there, then it may be under the top cover of the range. However, if you have the model # you should be able to order the broiler part from any reputable parts house.

If the broiler is under the oven (sounds like yours is), you use the same unit for both functions. So whatever is in the broiler will get hot when the oven is on.
