i love hard or alternative rock. people keep telling me rock is dead and rap is the biggest in the music business. i think its a lie because rock and blues laid the path for music. Rap is just a lame excues for pimp poetry and cant match rock and roll fame!!!!!

Not everyone hates hard rock,I love hard rock and I like some rap,but I do not like mainstream rap it has been commercialized. It's not even about the music anymore,it's about who has the sexiest girls shaking it up in front of the camera. There are some hard rock bands that get together with rappers once in a while to record songs. Some hard rock bands even use turntables and rap themselves(Slipknot Fear Factory etc) But you are right when you say that rock and blues laid the path for music!!

I like both. Being that its subjective, why do you care what others are saying anyway?
Music evolves. What's wrong with excepting the fact that a song makes a song good and that genres are just labels used to help us find cds in a store? There's a big crossover between hard rock and gansta rap when you look at songs like "Jesus of Suburbia" and "Straight outta Compton".

well, the new rap like 50 cent is bad but you might want to check out underground rap which is pretty good. And also I likke both. They're both good. But to tell you the truth I hate hard rock. Alternative and just regular is fine.

Im not into gansta rap or rap and definitely not into hard rock. I like alternative rock as long as its not so crazy. But i would mostly listen to R&B and HipHop

Damn straight man...preach on. !!!! The best bands and musicians come from rock and hard rock style of music. Bands like Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, janes Addiction, Soundgarden, Army of Anyone , Fliter, Velvet Revolver...Those bands rule.
Not all rap sucks..there are one or two songs are ok. But I didn't get the hype on that music ..Not all of its bad ..But 99 % of it sucks.

Lets face it, rap is becoming popular. Everyone's in to it. Personally, the hard rock gives me a headache, but regular rock is coolness lol.
I don't like hardcore anything actually, regular rap is fine with me LoL

I wish I knew. I completely agree with you though. I listen to hard and alternative rock, as well. It is the best thing in music nowadays (in my opinion, of course).
