Hi Christian M,
What do you like using your computer for? I use a Mac everyday at my work (I'm a printer) and I come home and use my own Mac to play. Yeah, I'm one of those creative types, but I also like playing games, getting on the Internet, IMing, all sorts of stuff.
I don't own a MacBook Pro. I have one of the older PowerBooks, but I can't help being very impressed with the MacBook Pros. They are great. The newer ones have built-in iSight cameras for video conferencing.
I love the Mac OS X. What a very easy and intuitive operating system. Based on a Unix kernel, the Mac is highly secure. No viruses like Windows. If you are considering getting a MacBook Pro, go to one of your local Mac dealers, play around with it, and check it out for yourself. You'll fall in love with the Mac OS too.

I use mine for everything from programming, design, and video editing, to gaming and network administration. The better question would be, "What can't you do with a MacBook Pro?"
