Just suppose that Your name was chosen, totally at random, and You were given the opportunity to either brief, lobby or cross-examine "The President of The United States of America" on any subject of Your chosing (for a period not to exceed 15 minutes), what would it be, and do You think that You would be capable of drafting a submission (2000 words?) in which You could accurately and succinctly articulate Your proposition or advocacy?

I hear stories about this all of the time. Canadian officials at the border are just as annoying and invasive to American visitors. In fact, they have a reputation of being worse. I am definitely not justifying the actions of these people in this situation, but you have to understand that the border problem in the USA is worse than any other country in the world. Sure, some of this is an abuse of power and these guys were out of line. However, you have to remember that these border agents can be fired or even prosecuted if they let people in, illegally, that end up committing a terroist act. We, as Americans have to go through this kind of crap every day at Airports all around the USA, even when flying domestically. I know it hurts the pride and makes you feel like less of a human being, but if you keep your mouth shut and just answer the questions, you will be on your way in no time 99% of the time.

Part 1, the question -
Do you think that real power is the ability to know your capability and not use it rather than presume you capability and abuse it?

Part 2, drafting a submission -
Somehow I think 2000 words would be far too many for the president to read. I would submit a 1800 word paper for the minders to read through and a 200 word bullet point version for the president.

Honestly, any 'hard hitting' questions he would already be prepped on & he'd go off on this loooonnng monologue, that I don't want to hear, so I'd shock him with questions like:
"When you choked on the pretzel where you drinking"
"Yes or No, did you snort?"
"You got a DUI & with your money came forgiveness, what about all the other people who don't have a father's rich backing to get out of jail?"

Then just for fun, "Why do you suck?" or "Aren't you always tired of being wrong?" (If I only had one choice DEFINITELY the last one)
