That's funny. I always heard women liked to date tall, strong men because they made them feel "safe".
Personally? I think it's personal choice. The exterior of a person is never as important as the interior.

Well, I don't think it's a good idea to make statements about "all women" and how they behave. Because all women have different likes, dislikes and opinions.
Myself, I like tall and big men. I am 5'3" . My husband is over 6 feet.
I never feel afraid of large men, unless they give me reason to. I don't even feel more nervous around tall people.
An old neighbor of mine was under 5 feet tall, her husband was over 6 feet tall.
so this does not always bear out. My mother and father were close in height. My mother was always taller than my father with her shoes on. My grandparents were like my husband and me. My grandmother 5'2" grandfather 6'2". So no, I do not think this is true. I do not think most people are intimidated by size alone. Mean looking body guards and security guards (most of whom are large) scare people because of their body language and scowls and snarls. And that is what they are paid to do, so this is a good thing. You can't scare someone just by being big. You have to have the attitude to go with it.

Oddly enough ive heard a few women vocalize this. I also noticed that these women all had something in common, they were all control freaks. The sort of women who abuse on their partners. Most women out there appreciate a tall man, and are turned on by his strength rather than scared. Ive only personally seen disrespect come out of a relationship where a man was shorter than a woman. Either she was pushing him around, or he had a chip on his shoulder (little man syndrome) and felt the need to constantly show her who was boss.

alluring, short guy. Being tall is an advantage. Being attractive is a ought to. On a scale of a million to 10? i could say an 8. yet i would not take an unattractive, tall guy over a short, alluring one that is for specific.

Not at all, I have never heard a female say anything remotely close to this. I personally like men of all heights. I do not have a preference. An outstanding character comes in many forms. God bless****

I have always been 5'5" and weighed around 120. I loved my men to be around 6'3" and in the 220-250 range. The true love of my life's nickname was gentle giant. Too; bad he broke my heart. I don't understand why anyone would be afraid of a person just because of their size.

Genetically women want men who are taller and stronger because they would be better providers and protectors and because they will bred healthier, stronger babies.
Remember this is from the beginning of man....some of that has come through to modern times.

Naw...don't worry about studies and tests. They sometimes have a way of coming out with a lot of strange things.
I'd say that with all the feminization, there'd be plenty of weaklings for the women to pick from. I'd say that women tend to dislike the weaklings more than they do the stronger guys. They don't want to date another woman.

I guess that depends on the woman. I'm not afraid of anyone. A tall, strong man wouldn't phase me. I wouldn't date a short, weak man. Not attracted to those.

Maybe this is true for some women, but definitely not all.
It's just like with men- each prefers different body types for different reasons.
