You seem to be misinformed, the majority of both elected Republicans and Democrats want to keep the border open for mutual and differing reasons but most Americans want the borders sealed up tight. So in effect, those that represent us do not have the same position of those that elected them.
Also, the Republicans crafted and passed a bill to put up a lame fence and then put 0% fianacing of the fence in the bill.

Because most of the people that are at the level that can make the change have illegal immigrants working for them
And do not want to have to let Jose go at $2. per hr and hire a American at the legal wage
They feel big and helpful because they get there house cleaned yard work done dinner prepared for them but if they had to hire an American to do the same jobs it would cost then three to five times as much.
We need to bring our Men and Women home from the war and give them rest and relax at the borders then they will stop coming in over a million or more a yr.

By sovereign boarders, do you mean the employees of embassies? The ones who are boarders there?
Or do you mean the borders between our country and an adjacent country?
One of the United States' unique qualities and strengths has been its ability to absorb many different nationalities allowing them to keep their own culture while absorbing them into American materialism and education.

becasue we have already spent too much money in a war in which we have accomplished nothing aprt from killing our own people. then you wnat us to build a huge wall to keep out illegals. we're going broke here. what next we send everyone but whitey back to their own country well to be nice i guess we could also give them their own private jets, with mini bars, and strippers to accomodate them on their way. quit wasting money.
