Liquid is a state, not a content (the person who answered that all liquid has water should get a life and stop answering online questions he knows nothing about).

This are either Solid, liquid, gas or plasma (plasma is mainly in the centre of a star, wo we won't worry about it).

Water is liquid at room temperature. Other room temperature liquids include mercury (metal), lots of oils, etc.

Most metals you have to heat, melt, to make them liquid. They don't contain water.

Somethings can become liquified by adding a solvent, for example, water. Water holds many things in suspension. That is, little solid particles floating in the water. The water is liquid, but the floating bits are still solid.

I hope this helps.

It is possible for all the elements on the periodic table to become liquids at the right temperature and they don't contain water, but the only 2 elements that are liquid at room temperature are Bromine and Mercury.
