Try Pilates. I do ballet and have the worst back pains and have thrown my back out several times and Pilates is the best way for me to heal it. Find a class nearby in your newspaper or phonebook. Or, buy a DVD/video at the store. There are also shows on in the morning like on Oxygen! that have Pilates classes. Also, at night or when at home just laying around, have a corn/heat wrap and keep it where it hurts, it loosens and heals the pain. Sleep with it at night too! You can find those at most any shopping center or grocery store, or you can make on yourself with fabric and corn kettles (kind that does not pop when you microwave it!). As you see, you have many choices, and many I have not mentioned. Good luck, and I hope that back gets better!

lie in your stmach, on a carpet is most comforable. have a friend hold your feet on the floor, hard, while you lift up your chest to try and arch it. this will strengthen the muscles needed for a good arabesque.

1.try putting one of your legs on the barre, stretch it out, other leg as support, n try to straighten your back. then slowly bend backward. then switch the other leg.
2.stand before the barre in turned-out first position, hands on barre, then bend backward, as much as possible, legs straight.
3. lie on your back, using your hand, push and try to arch your body as much as possible. then bend your legs. using your hands, push your back backwards and try to touch your legs. bring your head to your legs, not your legs to your head.
4. bend one of your leg infront of you, then stretch out the other directly behind(you should b able to feel it), then push yourself downwards(back straight). then slowly, bend backwards as much as possible. switch the other leg.
