You should definitely have a classic movie like Zorro or Casablanca. A good mix of action, drama, comedy and family is also essential to make a good DVD collection.

Far Far to many to name, it depends on movies you like. The imdb top 250 is a great place to find movies you might like, as well as the AFI top 100 list.
I have well over 500 DVD's in my collection, I wish I could 10x that ammount!
