Do not teach children that reporting misbehavior is Tattling. this is why the bully gets away with it, because if anyone tells then they are ridiculed and called a sissy or a tattle tail. society has enabled bullies in this day and age. years ago if someone was a bully then a bunch of kids their age got together and gave them a dose of their own medicine. but today we can't do that so it is up to the adults in charge to be responsible and to be held responsible if they don't control bullying. If you are being bullied TELL TELL TELL. Every time it happens Tell. if the adults in charge won't listen and do what is necessary then call your local abuse hot line and report the bully and those who refused to do any thing about it.

If you are talking about small kids, I suggest that the kid getting picked up avoid the bully if not able to fight back. It can be hard to teach a kid to stand up to a bully who is usually some insecure dweeb who gets a kick out of dominating someone smaller, younger, or otherwise disadvantaged. Of course I also recommend that if this is going on at school, that the teachers and administration be informed in no uncertain terms.

What worked for my kids was bring there uncles (under age) and having them wait in some bushes while they walked home in the exact location the bullies showed up every day ,A good butt whooping ,and some even more serious threats.
Same thing with my little daughter ,big sister showed up.The only thing these punks understand is pain ,fear, and intimidation and after trying many more political correct methods, speaking there language was the permanent fix to the problem.

Tell someone who is older and wiser. Bullies often seems dangerous but they are more miserable in the inside than you are. They bully because they don't have what you have and by bulling it makes it even to them. Ignore them and act like you didn't hear them. Avoid them. Avoid the places where they are. eventually they'll grow up and realize it was stupid. Try to be more assertive or confident around them.

Familes.
Treat others the way we would love to be treated.
If our society would spend time raising the future generation in a respectfull way, bullying would stop.
It's the parents and gaurdians who need to step up and show their kids how to treat others.
Bullies need help and love and someone to show them a better way to live.

Sorry, it's a peeve of mine :)
