Good business games number in the hundreds! The game is not for sale to the public so you can get away with a standard roll-and-move game such as Milton Bradley's The Game of Life. You may want to add some playing cards so the players can have some influence over their fate.

The first thing to do is think up a list of 25-35 inventions and innovations that you think would make people's lives better. Some could medical like ways to cure or treat diseases, some could be in the communications field like improved wireless devices, some in transportation like good fuel economy cars run on hydrogen and such. Turn this list into cards that have a start up budget cost to get started, moderate success, and everyday use.

Next create a board with different buildings it. Like a convention center, banks, private foundations, and so on. In each room you get to make a contact. Before each round make a list of cards that influence the way the contact responds. Cards could be like The Race Is On for Green. The card would boost the chances of getting funding for a hydrogen car project or for hydrogen filling stations. Another card might be Science Fraud. This would hurt the chances of getting funding.

Make it so that players would have to get a certain number of inventions or innovations to everyday use.

Cards stock folded could be used to represent the business people or rip of another game like Sorry to get pawns to move around.

That is what I would do.
