I was going to the bath room, and I notice stains on my underwear.(But I've had diareah, not alot, but soft poop) so I was guessing that's what it was.then,I wiped after I went to the bathroom, and there was blood on the toilet paper.I do remember at a bowling valley, earlier, feeling like I was going to the bathroom for one second, but I ignored it because it barely felt like anything.Im scared.Any advice how to tell my mom,and any tips on starting my period?
Thanks.

Easiest way to tell your mum is, Mum, I think I've started my period. You won't gross her out, she's been having one for years, and every woman remembers what it was like when she first started.
There are plenty of laundry stain removers you can use, but if you're shy about it, just try a normal bar of soap and running water. Put plenty of soap on the stain and rub the material vigorously together. It should help fade it, if not get rid of it all together.
Honestly, though, your mum will be fine with the whole thing.

Oh, and if you really want to know what the stain is, maybe you could just smell it. Blood and poo smell quite different!

Chances are that's what it is. How old are you? I know when I started it came as a shock to my mom and I both. Since I was only 9 at the time, I thought I wasn't wiping myself good when going to the bathroom, and my mom wasn't expecting it so soon. Just show her your underwear, and see how long it lasts. For the first couple years or so, they're going to be irregular, so don't worry if it lasts 5 days this month, and then comes 2-3 weeks later for 7 days. Also, if you haven't already, you'll learn about alot of your period in school (for me the school started that in 4th grade and all of middle school for the most part). And for geting the stains out, the best thing is to let them soak in cold water, and wash them like you would normally do. Good luck.

Well when I had my first period when I was 11 and it was like someone had stabbed me, I had tons of blood all over my pants...lol. It lasted about 7 days. So if you noticed blood just that one time I doubt it was your period. Maybe you just had a bloody stool or hemorrhoid.

PS: soak your pants...the stain will come off easier, if its already dry use some laundry stain remover and let it sit.

how old are you? Most girls start their period around 13 yrs. old...some earlier....some later....some girls are late bloomers...and don't have a period til they are 16...you can wash out your underwear with cold water....and soap...no hot water..if it's blood..it will set the stain...and be hard to wash out. Stains come out better the fresher they are....they are much harder to get out if they are there for days....also hydrogen peroxide is good at taking blood stains out...again, if they are fresh. Good luck! When I first started my period...it came out brownish....so I didnt know if it was blood, or the other.

you mention how to tell your mom and tips on starting your period so i'm guessing you are young. why don't you speak to your mother about what is happening with you? as far as starting your period goes, it is very possible to menstruate and then to skip a month or more in the beginning. i hope this helped.
