How old is your aunt? What does she like to do? Has she any special interests? Theatre? Gardening? Travel?

How much do you plan on spending? What about a nice massage or pedicure and manicure at her favourite spa? Does she enjoy the theatre, buy some soundtracks of her favourite broadway plays or get her tickets to a play she'd like to see. Movie tickets, two preferably for some of the better movies out now.

If she likes to cook, coupon for a cooking class or a great cookbook by someone she admires, Julia Child, Martha Stewart, Rachel Ray.

You might even find some pics on the net and make her a book of some of her favourite pics, your's included LOL. Write her a note telling her why she is special to you and how much you appreciate her and what she's taught you. Maybe some ious to spend more time with her .

Does she have animals , people love pics of their pets or books about the breed of animal she has.

Good luck and if she's a truly great auntie , she won't mind in the least what you get her , she'll just love that it is from you.

something fun and useful. I like this cute Hershey's Kiss fondue set ($10, Target, Linens 'N Things), if that's her style. It is easy to use and can sit out on a coffee table as a candy dish when it's not being used for fondue.

The Devil Wears Prada was a great, fun movie--the kind you want to watch over and over again. It's under $20 on DVD. Add a bucket of microwave popcorn or some gourmet, chocolate covered caramel corn. If you have a close relationship with her, propose a "movie night" where you can enjoy the movie together.

I love these little cases for small cameras/phones/ipods

Order by midnight for standard shipping or buy similar near home.

Not sure how old your aunt is, but THAT GIRL was a very funny, popular show from the late 60s, just out on DVD. She might enjoy that blast from the past.

Target has faux fur throws for about $25. They look super comfy and cozy for the winter. Add a book or a favorite magazine for a "night on the couch" package.

A gift album. It has major advantages over a gift card: no wasting of time and effort redeeming it down at the store; simply get on the internet site listed on the album, enter the redemption code and your ship-to information, and the recipient's choice of gift from the album is shipped. There is a choice of price ranges from 20 to 500 dollars. Twenty-three different albums. The program is backed by a servicing corporation with an impeccable reputation and a forty-seven-year track record of unsurpassed quality and integrity.

Gift Cards are a good christmas presents for everyone because you know what shop they are buying it from and you know they wont spend the money on anything useless. Some good sites are :

http://digbig.com/4qhym
http://doiop.com/d6ho82
For all of those all you have to do is enter your email address or zip code and reply back to them and you will receive a gift card from those stores free of charge, I got my old navy one from there and it was totally worth it.

Get something that brings back memories or inside jokes because wants come and go but memories last. For my brother I got him wooden spoons, a locker and antibacterial hand soap. Walmart has some gift packages. Also this site has some really good ideas: http://www.gifts.com/

A candle, a good book, a food basket... (fruit of muffins). A coffee sampler, a bouquet of flowers is nice anytime of year. Nice pjs, (what i got my aunt). Tickets to the movies, or a great concert. Homemade fudge, cookies etc.

Good luck.... she will like anything from your heart. =)

I wrote this whole answer about food-scented lotions at Bath and Body Works and your local drugstore--but then you said it can't be a bath set.

Try this: give her a few books or movies with characters with her name. For example. if her name is Melanie, give her Gone With the Wind and maybe Spice World. If her name is Rose, give her Gypsy and Bye Bye Birdie. You can search at Amazon.com and imdb.com to find novels and films with her name.

Also, think about what she likes--sports? theater? music? airplanes? cooking?--and give her a book or movie about that.
