Quite a few Madonna videos caused controversy:
- 1989: LIKE A PRAYER: controversy caused by religious references in the video - Pepsi dropped tour sponsorship after religious groups threatened with boycott
- 1991: JUSTIFY MY LOVE: controversy caused by sexually explicit images - got banned on MTV
- 1992: EROTICA: controversy caused by sexually explicit images - only MTV airplay after midnight
- 2000: WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL: controversy caused by violent images - got banned on MTV

I think is "Justify My Love" instead of "Like A Prayer".
Some country still not allow to play "Justify My Love" and needless to say, the mtv.
You can still hear "Like A Prayer" everywhere and some can even get the mtv from disc.

Just like a prayer 1989. It got banned because Madonna kissed a Catholic priest on the foot and, well look for your self on you tube.

Which One? She's had a few videos that caused problems. But I think you may mean the one for "Like a Prayer" when she the Black Jesus statue came to life and she made out with it.
