First, America will not reform healthcare because the golden goose lays golden eggs, it is the economy of the 21st century. A large percentage of lobbyists dollars comes from drug companies and doctors and insurance companies, that is the only reason, money talks and the citizens be damned. When someone says to you that public health system will not work, you can bet 9 times out of 10 that their finger is in the pie. The statement that people use ER for minor ailments is very true, but the reason is that most of them do not have a family doctor because of the cost, while at the ER, they can apply for charity care, and most city hospitals make a great deal of money at this, that is why they don't discourage the practice. Stopping lawsuits sounds real good until it's one of your family members injured by incompetence and you have to pay the bills for their care, and it's the only way to rid the system of incompetence since they rarely police themselves.

The biggest problem with U.S. health care is that too much is spent on last minute heroics to keep the dying alive a little longer, to much on administrative costs, and profit, not care, has become to much of the goal. What we need is more preventive health care -- more spent here would go a much longer way in keeping the population healthy. Also, health care needs to be more available to the working class, which may only happen if we have a national health care system. I believe a national health care system can exist while allowing private institutions to continue -- look at our educational system for example. Many countries spend less on health care but have a healthier population -- examples include Germany and many of the Scandinavian nations -- even though they smoke a lot! Again, more effort in prevention and less on keeping the dying alive longer.

By making people responsible and accountable for their own health care. Most Americans do not eat or live healthy lives and and those that do have no choice but to pay for other people's health care. Give people a choice. If someone wants to opt out of social security and medicare and save the money themselves they should be able to. Any other option could be defined as socialism.

suitable now, all wellbeing care is routed in the process the AMA. you could no longer recieve any wellbeing care with out utilising somebody they approve of. In maximum of existence, we are able to choose for- union or non-union, expert or hobbiest, good end or decrease cost variations, etc. In scientific care (and regulation, preparation, etc.) we ought to apply purely those techniques authorized of and controlled by using the 'great unions' of the AMA, ABA, NEA, etc. interior the sequence '30 Days', the host substitute into residing on the poverty line for 30 days. He harm his wrist and have been given a $500+ bill for what substitute into certainly an Ace bandage and a 5 minute examination with out an X-ray. with out coverage or a stash of money, his techniques have been severely constrained. Why isn't it MY decision if i opt to make certain a 'drugstore medic' who will do what they'd for a easy cost, and warn me of issues to look for? fairly some scientific care is such that a competant guy or woman can do fairly some it purely from a solid guidebook. ok, i understand that area of the reason for the fees is the coverage and criminal duty. we would desire to reform that as properly. possibly some form of screening panel that tosses out frivolous fits and persons that particularly truthfully are no longer anybody's fault, etc.?

The biggest problem with health care?

It costs a great deal of money to keep people relatively healthy, especially as they grow older.

First, people need to stop using the ER as a doctor's office.

Second, STOP all the lawsuits. Just because a doctor doesn't give you an antibiotic for your cold, does not constitute malpractice!
