How far past due are you with your rent? No one can move out in three days, that is not realistic. The notice is to let you know that they mean business, move it or lose it. I worked for a property management company and we give three day notices to people who keep making promises to get caught up, and every month they had a different reason why they were still behind. If you are unable to pay every penny that you owe now, move before they start the eviction process. Can you take out a loan with a credit union, your bank, a friend. Once we would notified our lawyer, it became a permanent mark against the person's credit record. You will not be able to rent another place in your name for many years.

OUCH!

Strictly it means that you have three days to either pay an overdue amount or make some change that is against yor rental agreement or lease. If you do not comply the owner or management company can start the eviction process. YOU do NOT want THIS because it will be DIFFICULT to rent a new place.

I had an OVERBEARING management company that gave me a three day because I had a plant on my porch. Another got one because the manager (WHAT a SELF-IMPORTANT WHITCH) thought the purple Christmas lights were inappropriate.

Just figure out what the problem is and resolve it quickly. If it is overdue rent or some other financial issue take care of it right away.

Most managers will work with you a bit because they don't want the vacancy expense unless there is a waiting list for an apartment like yours.

Good luck,
J

A three day pay or quit means you have 3 days to pay all current and back rent due or in three days expect the sheriff's deputies and cadets to empty your residence onto the sidewalk, rain or shine.

It means you have 3 days to pay your rent or move out. If you don't pay and you don't move out, your landlord will start the eviction process.
