Take a coffee cup, put some water in it and add about a tablespoon of lemon juice to the water. Turn on the microwave for 45 seconds on high. Not only will the smell disappear, but if ever you have some food stuff stuck to the inside of the microwave, this will also soften it and make cleaning your microwave a snap!

Fill a tea cup with white vinegar or lemon juice and put it in microwave. Bring it to a boil and let it just sit and steam up the interior of the microwave. Then, wipe interior. I have read posts where folks say boiling a pot of vinegar on the stove rids the house of odors. I have not tried that. For severe smoke smells, it usually requires that all hard surfaces be washed

cut a lemon in half and rub down all the inside surfaces, then mix 1/2 cup baking soda with 1 cup of water and microwave for about 5 minutes. Then wipe down the inside with wet, hot as you can stand it PAPER TOWELS. Not the dish cloth.
Trust me this works.
