I buy too much stuff ! Mostly clothes . I only buy when it's a REALLY REALLY great deal . Like yesterday I bought 17 shirts bcuz they were only 25 cents each ! For brand new baby doll tops ! I dont need that many shirts and my problem is I always seem to find these kinds of deals every single day . So I spend money every single day . Today I bought 2 pairs of brand new Thalia jeans for $3 a pair ! Seriously how can I pass up these deals and stop spending money ?

You can't. You're a woman, it's genetic.

Consider creating a budget for yourself. There is nothing wrong with buying some of what you want, but spending more than you have will get you into trouble. Plus, if you later want something more expensive, you don' t have the money to buy it if you keep spending.

Its never too early or too late to create a budget. Add up all you get (probably your allowance), then decide how much per week you will spend on what sort of item (in this case doll clothes). A really good habbit is to save at least 10% of your money. Do this forever and you will become very rich (you need to invest it too after a while, but for now, just do the saving).

This also helps if you later want to buy something more expensive. I suggest saving at least:
10% forever (it might buy a car, house, or later retirement)
10% for expensive items (nice new jeans for you, Ipod, etc)
80% you decide.

When I got a summer job, I saved more. I put 25% away for long term (that worked out well btw), and 35% was saved for something expensive. That only left me 40% for everything else, so I had to spend lightly for a bit, but it worked out well - I bought my expensive item, and still had some good savings on top of that.

No matter what your age, its good advice.

To those of you "answering questions" who do nothing on Yahoo answers except beg for free stuff - its not funny - really, its not. And - did you really think it was going to work?

Move house. Once you realise how much stuff you have, you will put your foot down and stop buying more.

You spend everyday? Do you have a job?

One tip to not spend is to open a savings account, and keep the key card in a hiding place, or have an account that has no keycard and one where you can't write cheques. If you have a job, arrange with your bank to automatically move a chunk of your pay into the savings account on the day it goes in. If the money isn't in your normal account, then you can't spend it.

Another thing. Though it will be difficult.

BUY ONLY WHAT YOU NEED.

Not what you want or what is on sale. Your old jeans ripped, then buy a new pair. They're just on sale - no buying.

If you buy 17 tops will you wear them? Or will you be like most people and let them keep each other company in the closet. It sounds like you don't have a really defined style about yourself. It may help to identify your best assets and vow to accentuate the positive with better fabrics, cuts, colors and of course a healthier self esteem. I say that because you could be a person that believes having more make you better, and it doesn't. Invest in yourself and not what you can own.

Sounds like you're a good shopper and can find the deals. Ever think about shopping for others and getting paid for it? I'm not advertising anything I just wonder if you've ever thought about it.
