I'm trying to figure out what to do, but I am still not sure? What would you do? Why?

I went back to school for a second degree (got a teaching degree, then graphic design). I am now majorly in debt in student loans and my current job doesn't seem to make ends meet. My advice would be to get a degree first if you are interested in it....and try and be sure it is the one you want and get into the field as soon as you can. If already have a degree and you feel it is not in a field you want to be in, consider taking evening classes while working to pay for your education. Trust me, the right career definitely helps...but don't get in too deep in debt. Unless you are inherently rich...then you can do whatever you need to. But I am working under the pretense that you are not sure what to do because of a financial concern. Be happy with what you do...it makes you happier in the end to want to go to work as opposed to forcing yourself to go. Good luck!

Getting an education will help give you the most options and will likely help you figure out the type of job you'd really like to have. However, if you need or want to work you can probably do that and go to school, so many more colleges now have evening or weekend classes, as well as online classes, and some degree programs are even totally online. Also, depending on what you would like to study, if you can get a job in that field some employers offer tuition assistance to take classes in that area. As for myself, I am about to graduate with my B.A., but I will be going back to get a masters as well as working full time, I'm going to do what I reccommended for you, by taking classes at a university that offers an alternative schedule to accomodate working professionals. Hope this helps, good luck with your decision, and remember, do what will make you happy!

Go back to school and study for a career. The thing is, going to a university opens up so many doors. With more choices to choose from, you'll be able to choose the path that you WANT to take... like, you won't have a job just to pay the bill.

Yes, going to a university takes a while, but you've already had over 12 years of school, so what difference should 4 more make? It's a known fact that people who have college degrees, overall, have more confidence in themselves, and live a more comfortable lifestyle. Not to say anything against thoughs who don't go to college, but it's just a fact, you know?

Go back to school. Trust me, you will be a much happier person doing something that you love AND getting payed for it. What could be better than that?

I think that some education is essential to having a fighting chance with a good career.
While being in school has some crappy points (cash, studying, etc.), you are spending time investing in yourself.
Having a career and the freedom that comes with making a salary is great, but I think that that my education helped me both get a decent job and succeed at it.

You should decide what it is you enjoy doing first and if it requires that you go back and study then do it. It is a small price to pay to be in a job you are satisfied with. Dont forget we have to work for about 45 years of our life so you may as well do something you enjoy

Both. Become a full time student and work part time. There should be no reason why they both can't be done.
