Maybe they should be called departments instead. Seriously, this is a good question. "apart" should be not together. BUT I think this question fits in the same category as "Why do we park in a driveway and drive on a parkway?" or "Why do they call it a drive-thru when it takes longer than going inside?" they are a part of a larger ...usually one single roof structure....................see that wasnt so bad !!!
